Brigadoon City: Magic has retreated to a few hidden cities and areas. Portals to these areas are also hidden, but the upper world knows of them by their haunted or spooky reputation. When a burned out Private Investigator is framed for killing his cheating wife, his investigation leads to being attacked by a tiger who changes into a man. A mysterious woman takes him to Brigadoon City. There he finds a society of historic magical creatures living out their lives in Victorian style homes and streets.

He also finds he’s become part of a plot by the vampires to try and retake the upper world as a private food source. Now he must choose whether to return to the upper world before his change becomes permanent with the next full moon, or stay to combat the vampire’s plot.
